I think it's pretty messed up of Citi to continuously offer 15% on Black Friday every year, as if that's their major doorbuster point-exchange deal, and have people cash out all of their points for that, thinking they just got an amazing deal... and then just few days later like clockwork, Citi ups it to 20% but now those people don't have any points left to get them because they already used them all up on Black Friday. I feel bad for those who saw that 15% and fell for the bait.

Lesson is to accumulate Citi points til Cyber Monday every year specifically for this promo on Apple GC's; do NOT fall for their Black Friday "deal". Citi really should instead just make it 20% for Black Friday thru Cyber Monday. Not that 15% crap.
I was waiting for the 20% like they do every year - redeemed 75k worth of points

Yes, you can buy the AirPODS depending when you receive the TYP GC.
IMO, you would be paying ZERO. As I consider the TYP GC's as free money received for spending on regular expenses.
well I can always cash it to statement credit. and I consider I am paying 5% more if I am not using cc as its not getting printed out of thin air (ironically it is though)

Is anyone else having a problem where they see only a 10% discount? Looking to buy these Fun & Fabulous cards but I thought it was supposed to be 20% off and I'm only seeing 10% off.

I've got banking with them and two credit cards.

OP, you mention "+10% points back if you HOLD a Rewards+ card"

That implies that all you have to do to get the additional 10%, is to simply just "HOLD" (i.e. have) a Rewards+ card.
BUT, does that mean even points from OTHER Citi ThankYou cards (i.e. Custom Cash card, DoubleCash 2% card) would get the extra 10%, when THEIR points are redeemed, as long as you just "hold" a Rewards+ card?
OR,
Does it mean that ONLY POINTS FROM THE REWARDS+ CARD get the extra 10%?

This is important because it would dictate how you'd allocate your spending with/between these 3 cards throughout the year, if it's indeed only the Rewards+ card's points that are eligible for the additional 10% (with the points from Custom Cash and Double Cash cards not being eligible for this 10% bonus).

Also, I know that Citi allows you to combine ThankYou points from multiple Citi cards, into one consolidated bucket. I personally would prefer to combine the points from all my card accounts, so that they're easier to redeem as one whole...
However, if you do, Citi warns: "note that if you combine your ThankYou accounts, points are not separated based on which Citi Account they were earned, and are displayed as a total for all Citi Accounts. When you combine your ThankYou accounts, most redemption options available to each individual account will be available with the combined account,,. However, in some situations, you may lose access to certain redemption options if you combine ThankYou accounts."

Question here is: would having all cards' ThankYou points combined into one bucket, REMOVE THIS Rewards+ card's 10% bonus redemption benefit?
If so, then I would NOT do the combining.
But I just don't know if these combined points would be excluded or not, if anyone can please shed some light on this.

Any help (from anyone!) would be appreciated here regarding these questions. Thank you

The only restriction is that the point can't come from a gifted source. I have it merged with my Premier and this is what I did
- Pool it into one ThankYou account, the points balance will then be shared across all cards
- Redeem using the Rewards+ card

Do one $25 as a test, you'll get an email alongside your giftcard that'll confirm if you got the bonus.

For digital Apple gift cards, can you resend to another person after receiving it?
Yeah, just forward the link/email or give them the code before redeeming it.

I usually redeemed my points for cash each month, but this seems like it's worth saving them up for 2024 Cyber Monday.

I was surprised to see that the MacBook Pro M3s were discounted almost immediately after release. Many models were/are $150-$200 off. Not quite 20% off, but makes me not want to redeem my $550 in TY points for Apple.
They may be matching the Apple Education store pricing, which I may-or-may-not make use of at Apple despite having left Uni a while ago... So for day 1, Apple Education store purchases, with this 20% bonus, it's quite nice. But it's true that Apple gift cards aren't otherwise fantastic gift cards.

This is now over, cards are back to their regular price. Looks like it ended right at 10pm PT/midnight central.

I had GCs in my cart before 10pm and checked out at 10:07pm; it went through and showed me a printable confirmation showing the reduced number of points spent, but the full higher amount has been deducted from my balance...that's going to be a fun customer support call.

I placed my order two hours ago. Shows "fulfilled" but still don't have the email. I called Citi and was told to be "patient" as there are a lot of people buying Apple gc today. SMH

Just got my $50 GC. A day too late for the additional $75 GC from apple. Now I have a GC that I cannot use.

Cyber Monday is a tech sale day. So not a surprise all technologies have better deal on Cyber Monday than Blank Friday.

After logging in, I'm stuck on the third-party page for over 20 minutes. Refreshed and start again and the same thing is happening.
