This particular unit does not. I've tried their fries setting on 3 different kinds of frozen fries. Just came out burned and dry inside. I'm sure I have it lowered the temp compared to what they think and it'll be "ok"
Great point. I had a (not great) GoWise with that feature that didn't last that long. Looked at Instant Pot Vortex but the basket did not remove from the base so you have to remove the food with tongs. Bought a Cosori in July instead and that basket removes so you can conveniently dump fries and such. I prefer that kind.
Pro-tip, I like to add a bit of of this to any potato or chicken I'm making. It's supposedly the formula KFC uses for their "11 herbs and spices". https://marionkay.com/product/chi...ning-99-x/
I mix up a batch to keep on hand to sprinkle on anything I want to taste better!

I imagine that would be good but the main ingredients for your seasoning blend are msg and pepper/salt. On the good hand I can mix up an equivalent fairly easy but that's pretty expensive for that blend.
My experience is the same, that they come out drier than they might in the oven. I tend to undercook them to make sure the insides are still a bit creamy. Lately I've removed them even earlier, tossed with some olive oil, add my spices then, and throw them back in for 4 minutes or so.

My Phillips has that kind of basket as well. I wouldn't use an air fryer that didn't have a removable basket
I have both. This one is way better. Costco one has a taller basket which is kind of useless in an air fryer. This one is wider which allows you to spread the food out and circulate the air better.
I also bought silicon inserts to make cleaning up grease in the basket a non-issue! $50 is a fantastic price! But get the inserts!! You'll thank me right away! ha
