SHIPPING: Your system can't be shipped to CA/CO/HI/OR/VT/WA due to the energy regulations adopted by these states based on your current video card selection. If you are shipping to these states, you will need to select a motherboard that's not Restricted Shipping.

what kinda BS is this? CA is on some bullshit
Haha, ya, changed, the day we are up to 850 watt gpu's, is the day I'll just install a sauna surrounding my pc.

That's a really good deal. I got the CyberpowerPC from Best Buy for almost twice as much with a 13000KF, 64gb RAM, and 4070 ti. Might have bought this one, had I seen it first.

This seems like the best "prebuilt upgrade path" deal at the moment for those possibly wanting an interim boost before the RTX5000 series drops next year bringing the big DP 2.1 update to NVIDIA. That mobo and 850W PS should do the trick (is that an MSI mobo?).

The only thing I could see is taking the RAM up to 32 GB.

Thoughts on if the value is there to buy this now for an eventual baseline towards an RTX5000 or wait?

The California restrictions are complicated and specific, but most gaming machines manufactured between January 1, 2019 and July 1,2021 can use no more than 50, 80, or 100 kWH a year. Anything made after July 1 will be further restricted to 50, 60, or 70 kWH a year.
Pretty much anything at or above 700w PSU is banned. While majority of the country and the world we have computer freedom.

Picked this up but I think I want to upgrade to 32 GB Ram. Do I have to buy the exact Ram that this PC comes with; Or do I just need to ensure it is DDR5 6000mhz? Any help would be great. Not sure what brand cyberpower usually builds with.

You can always sell the gpu and get the rtx5000 if you want a bigger card. Its a good deal, but if your fine with waiting a year till the 5090, then wait, its going to be even longer before the 5070 comes along and then even longer till the 5060 ti.

Wait till you get the system, then look at the ram chip and find out the model number or call up cyberpower and ask, then find it on newegg or a microcenter. Also read up on setting up in dual channel mode, there are guides on youtube on how to set it in your bio's, you'll just need to figure out what type of motherboard it is, if its MSi, most MSI boards have the same or similar bio's menu, same with asus boards or gigabyte boards.

Yoink. Thanks, ShrewdHerring3928. I canceled another PC I had on order for this.

Note my excitement coming from an old AMD Ryzen 7 1800X / RX580 system for this.
I'm on the same system 😃. That deal from 6 years ago...also looking to upgrade now.

In order to fully ensure dual channel works without a hitch, you need matched pairs.

I've had DIMMS which were matched perfectly to the OEM that didn't work because they weren't in the same FAB and something minor got changed.

Granted, once was with RAMBUS (which is very touchy to begin with and why it's obsolete) but the second time was with DDR3.

I wouldn't advise this, just from an ease of use/warranty perspective.

You can upgrade all of the sticks at once with matched pairs and guarantee it will work every time, but trying to get OEM sourced parts is usually a headache.

They use what they use for a reason and it's often whatever is going to return the best margins.

If you're going to upgrade the capacity, it's a good opportunity to also upgrade the clock speed or timings.

Keep in mind that getting memory speeds working with 4 sticks is harder than with 2. Even if you buy the exact same sticks. It may not work with 4 of them unless you back the timings down or increase the voltage. Then again, it might work fine. Just be prepared to have to do some manual tweaking.

If the primary purpose of this machine is gaming, I don't think I would buy a machine with an 8GB GPU anymore. Especially if you plan to game above 1080p.

It doesn't show up in the benchmarks that are the staple of most GPU reviews but we are starting to see games that don't produce good results with only 8GB of VRAM.

I suspect that trend is only going to get worse as time passes.

Nice deal, my son has had his Cyberpower machine for several years now - (knock on wood) - it has turned out to be very reliable. Will have to show this to him - hopefully he gets a decent Xmas bonus this year.
