Awesome deal to say the least. I spoke with one of the salesmen as Iron Pony is close to me. HE said the only reason these things are marked down is that there was a problem with the color dye of the the jackets. First Gear was not happy with it and Iron Pony bought an entire warehouse of these things. They are nice enough that I bought every color they had. They have Tall sizes as well.

Thank you!! I have been waiting all year to buy an armored jacket. Picked up a small and medium to see which fits better, totally worth $160 even if I only wear one. Seeing listings for 300-500 elsewhere is all the convincing I need.

You can ride it with a bike during the winter time if you're casual and don't care about going fast. This full armor jacket is going to be heavy and hot for just biking.

Never heard of this website, but this is a great price for a well regarded jacket. Too bad I already have a jacket. Firstgear is a pretty good reputable brand and CE Level 2 armor is a great choice.

Thank you for the instore check! I hesitated for a day before posting the deal because I was almost sure they'd catch the price "mistake". The full set of armor is worth more than the jacket, LOL!

Waiting for my Kilimanjaro in the mail. Maybe I should buy the Kathmandu too!

Seriously not recommended for skiing since even without the armor this jacket will be very heavy compared to any ski jacket. Motorcycle jacket's outer shell will absorb water taking on more weight. The jacket is 'waterproof' because of a waterproof liner inside the outer shell.

Yep I am wondering the same. I have a north face triclimate jacket and looking to replace the outer shell with this possibly. Any thoughts?
