I mean if it works it's not a bad price. I'm not going to buy it but someone might want to give it a try.

They really bury the power output
"Output Current ‎12 Amps"
...and I have my doubts

one review points out it is "FOR magsafe " ...not actually a magsafe charger but rather work with magsafe phones? lol.

Where do you find codes for Amazon products? Like the code for this item. It is not in the product page where you can clip it like other products.

This can be a plus. My last phone, a Pixel 6, had a Magsafe-like ring attached to the back of the case. This made it work with most Magsafe accessories. But it failed to work correctly with Magsafe chargers. I suspect that a normal Qi charger with a round magnet ring would have worked just fine.

In the end, this should mean it works fine for all phones. I believe that "Magsafe" chargers are a little off the normal Qi standard. The end result would likely be slower charging for iPhones, but more universal compatibility.

You don't, these are usually posted as ads indirectly by the brands.

This works fine for my S23 Ultra. Superglue it to a male/female mount and attached to my proclip in the car.

If it charges your iPhone just fine, do you really give a crap if your iPhone doesn't see it as a magsafe accessory? I always love when iphone people have to point that out. Take away stars on their review because i don't see the pop up when I attach it. 🙄

If they submitted it to Apple for that certification and to get the pop up, it wouldn't be that cheap.

From what I understand a magsafe charger backwards compatible with Qi or is it just a Qi charger! The magnetic ring for Android is not what makes the charger work per say its to line the charger up with the coils in the phone. It would work without the magnet but you have to put on the exactly right spot. Thats why some can't get it to work because they put the magnet on the wrong spot. Maybe draw a circle around the magnet with something removeable and hold the magsafe charger to the back of you phone to make sure it works before gluing it on! https://www.androidpolice.com/mag...droid-too/

It sounds like it should be. But Anker wouldn't support a Magsafe charger I got on anything but iPhone. They may have just been difficult. But theoretically, their Magsafe charger should work fine on ANY Qi device. Its just that the magnets may not snap on.

I'm just a sample size of 1. But with various outcomes between 2 Androids and 3 Magsafe chargers, I gave up on it for a while. That being said, my new Pixel 8 Pro seems to work great with the chargers I still had lying around.

Side note 1: The article you linked to hinted at issues in the past.
Stick-on rings for adding MagSafe to Android phones (and older iPhones) have been around for the last three years, but I've been loath to recommend them to any phone with wireless charging support. Case manufacturers started building cases with MagSafe rings built-in for some Android phones in the last 18-24 months, but it's all been lesser brands with mixed results.

Side note 2: The article also explicitly states that some Magsafe chargers won't necessarily work with standard Qi devices.
Now, this isn't to say all MagSafe chargers are guaranteed to work with Android phones. Plenty of cheap — and not so cheap — MagSafe chargers only have Apple's 7.5W profile built into them, meaning they won't work with Android phones. But most quality third-party MagSafe magnetic charging pads and wireless power banks will work with Qi-enabled Android phones, either at 10W or at the base 5W.

Had it with my Pixel 7 with a magsafe case. Works as expected. The only drawback is that this charger runs very hot very quickly, and the charging rate gets thermal throttled very quickly because of that.
