I have Arlo Pro 1's, and am sore need of an upgrade. Will these attach to my base and have the same features? Or do I need a new base and subscription?
Echoing some others, its a terrible system. Without the subscription, errors, usb formats constantly, and camera timeouts were extremely common, we ended up tearing the whole setup down and returning to costco. We have Eufy cameras now and its been much better/reliable for us.

I don't mind it and haven't had the issues that I've been reading on the other comments. I only have a floodlight and overall its been running strong for 2 years. Arlo is not owned by a Chinese company and not run by Google like Ring is for those of you who care.

I've had Arlo for about 10 years now, I find it to be one of the best cameras out there. It puts my ring to shame, ring is a joke you could walk right up to it, and it never takes any video of you. No monthly fee needed and I have 3 cameras.
These suck I will never buy arlos again. I have 7 total arlo 3 and 4s the 3s don't work anymore after 2 years and the 4s aren't that much better. I'm a tech nerd and I've added mesh all over my home the video quality and app are sub par. They've missed important footage and just flat out don't record anymore. Battery is non existent so solar panels is a must and even then a cloudy day will make you have to replace them. Never again.
Replaced all my arlo to blink because of Arlo's End of Life impact. I am not going to buy anything from Arlo just a warning for anyone who is interested their products.

Only reason I have Arlo's is because years ago at the time of installation they were pretty much the only battery-powered option. The UI absolutely sucks and it's slow to load, that being said it still works enough for what I need it for, which is to have a camera in a high up area with no hardwire access. I have a base station so it records all recordings there so I can go back in the app and watch any video from the past several days and download it if I want to. I have 3 cameras up and I don't pay any subscription fees. If you have hard wire access there are a million other cameras I would choose over these, if you need a battery powered camera with a battery then it's not the worst option. I have extra batteries so when it's about to die I climb up and swap the batteries out and charge the dead one to be ready next time I need to swap. I probably get about 5-10 recordings per day and change the battery every 6-8 weeks

I'd rather invest in Ring based stuff - as an $8/mo covers unlimited devices 1 one location, arlo is $13/mo for unlimited devices.
