i use this at work. unit is fine, but this is the normal price for this vacuum (Graph shows it has been this price since 10/18). just another SD advertisement by an SD editor.
Same here, but my feelings aren't quite as good. I'm a bit disappointed with the performance - I'd hoped it would be not just better, but *much* better than my old dust buster, and while it's certainly more powerful, it's just not life-changing. I was also surprised that it sucked up the charge of 1.3ah batteries as quickly as it did - less than 10 minutes each for two of them. Which, in hindsight, is perfectly reasonable. But I'd imagined using it for longer with a very lightweight battery, rather than with a bulky 5ah. For the record, I was using it in ceiling corners and light fixtures, so not just spot-cleaning a couple of messes. Also, the filter was a pain to clean out. I'm hoping there's an easy solution to use on a pint-sized version of a shop vac filter.

On the other hand, I really like the attachments - including the mesh bag they come in - and the hose is *fantastic*. Between the hose and brushes and nozzles, I was able to clean the entire space under my oven.

So, good, and certainly useful, but not as great as I'd hoped it would be. But that might be just my unrealistic expectations.
I have had this for a month since the last fp deal and used it 10 times at least. Very handy and has a hepa filter

I have the other two Dewalt vac's. Way underpowered. Would I expect the same with this? Or is it any better?

Thanks,

Thanks,
For what it is worth it exceeded my expectations for power based on previous cordless or 12V vacs that I used in my vehicle.
I have used mine a lot.

Thanks for the heads up. I have plenty of batteries, but knowing this vacuum is going to kill most of them while not being significantly more powerful makes this functionally useless for me, especially when I would only be using it for cleaning the garage and washing cars. I have a cordless dyson and still elect to use my shopvac because of strength and having more than 15 minutes of use.

Surprised by how quickly this became one of my go to tools. I think my favorite part is the extension tube since you don't have to bend over like traditional dustbusters. Good all around the kitchen and effective in cleaning out the car too.

I like mine. Got it last month and it is pretty good. Attachments are excellent. Build quality is premier. Suction is good. If you have batteries already, you should be pretty happy with it.

i'm not sure people should take those janky SD price charts seriously. the camels say this is the lowest it's ever been, and quite a bit lower than the usual price.

I just bought this at $99. It is great to vacuum the car, however the battery died in 10 minutes and I had to switch batteries.

As far as the filter being hard to clean, I did some research on making a prefilter. If you have an air purifier, the flat foam prefilter they use, makes a great prefilter for the Dewalt vac hepa filter. Just cut a section to size, wrap it around the hepa filter, and hold it in place with a couple rubber bands. Works like a charm and the hepa filter stays cleaner for a longer time. And yes, like all hepa filters, they eventually have to be replaced.

Recent purchaser via $99 stable recent price. Performs well, just don't expect it to last too long with your tiny 1AH batteries. Same deal goes with any battery tool, especially the blower and weed whacking types. User problem, not a product problem. Get at least a 4AH and you'll be set to clean out the entire kitchen, works great on hardwood floors, OK on low pile carpet, and excited to have it around for quick car spliffing. Great attachments as well. 0 regrets for $100 bones and deep into dewalts eco.
