You know what man, I actually believe you. It's rare to see a dissenting opinion in a website full of unchecked astroturfing.

also uneducated, inexperienced consumers. they buy one speaker and beat it from their chest how it's the best speaker when they've never heard anything good before.

what do you recommend around this price range?

Do you have any other speakers to compare to. Assume it had more bass than the JBL flip.

Rave party 2 is much much more powerful. At 150w vs this dinky 30watts. But this is only $50.

I've been more invested in JBL speakers though. like partybox 110, 310, and the encore

This and the motion boom are horrible sounding speakers. I purchased both a couple of years ago for my kids Christmas presents. The only time I have taken presents back to get something else.

watts aren't the full story for audio performance

great price but the most annoying thing is the volume jump from the lowest volume to one step up is way too much..
