There's a recent amazon review (Nov 18, not mine) that is accurate.
The Sept 19 review (1 star) is wrong, this will easily support a lot of weight. But the adjustment felt a little stuck at first on mine, once it loosened up it had full range of tension.
This is mechanical spring (literature calls it gas spring), but I prefer mechanical for cheaper arms bc no risk of it leaking.
The plastic casing was a bit marred in places, looked to be factory tool clamping, but not noticeable from distance.
Joints are NOT plastic, they are metal but there are plastic sleeves (typical design).
Haven't tried USB ports.
I like it for the price.

40" MSI I ordered is 22.7lbs so at this price I think I'll gamble it.
Side usb-c is for power to drive 3 usb 3.0 type As on the bottom if required, one review suggests the main cord is permanent on this and jets straight out the back (wish it shot downward).
