I bought this two years ago now, and it is very sturdy for holding a saw, but the extension arms for holding up wood while cutting are a little less sturdy than say, DeWalt or the like. For $60 I am more than happy I bought this for my house as I have used it numerous times and can easily deal with a little sag. It holds a saw extremely sturdy, and the material is really thick gauge.

Would this work with the metabo miter saw that was on sale Monday? Never had a miter saw or stand, so don't know if brands are interchangeable

Most likely. It works with my DeWalt 12" slider and my 10" Metabo. This stand is quite heavy though and doesn't have wheels. So carrying it around job sites is not easy.

It could probably work with almost any saw but you may need to use a piece of plywood to mount the saw on and then mount the plywood to the stand. If the holes on the saw do not line up with the holes on the 2 cross pieces, that is what you will have to do. I had to do that. It's a little extra work but it works. I'm very happy with the stand, especially for the price.

Yes, the miter saw holes are parallel and it bolts to the rails on it and stands are mostly interchangeable (you wouldn't want to put a large 12" on a 10" stand, for example)

What Saw brand did you have that you had to modify to fit this Ryobi stand?

Crazily enough it was an old Ryobi saw. The mounting holes on the saw were not in a straight line front to back. They were offset. It was a pretty old saw and a new stand, so you shouldn't have that problem. I'm just saying there is a work around if needed.

I have multiple saw horse, wood and non wood models that i typically lay 2x material on for my surface when running chop saw. With military discount and tax this comes to 56$. Do i really need it tho?

It appears to me that they raised the price to make it look like a better discount than it is.

It's been on sale a few times at this price, but is definitely not the everyday price. I've looked at it a few times after buying my Ryobi miter saw, and it was $90.

I bought this years ago at $99, don't recommend it at that price.

Might be worth it at $59 though.

For my use, I really need to be able to move the saw in and out of the garage so a wheeled option is probably best.
