It looks good to me, and I almost pulled the trigger. But then I remembered people mentioning other walmart dart boards similar to this being junk so I hesitated.

Years back when I was shopping dart boards I considered buying a board/cabinet combo. But I decided to spend the extra and invest in a decent Winmau dartboard and just build my own custom wall cabinet

We have a cabinet with this dart board on it and kinda hate it.

Darts will bounce off if they hit the wire.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what happens when you hit wire on any dartboard.

Hammerhead darts might help.

That's because you have a cheap poorly made dart board. Get a Winmau or other quality brand. They don't use round wire like yours, their wire is flat, it actually comes to a point, that way it is near impossible for the dart to hit it and bounce off, the edge is super small and the wire is tapered so the dart will go in the board.

I bet you will not once have a dart bounce off, I never have.

I don't need a box this pretty around my dart board. I'm not that good and have kids. I need a replaceable plywood sheet that I occasionally repaint.
