Regarding OLED for productivity. I have the aw3423dwf "for gaming" but use it for office work 90% of the time.
It is just OK IMHO. The text clarity isn't awesome. It's not as wide as two 27" and the Windows mechanisms for splitting windows on a single screen aren't as simple (to me) as when I had two screens, even with power toys installed. Because I am worried about burn in, I have the taskbar auto-hiding, which adds a constant little tax to various actions. Also, every time Windows decides it doesn't want to hide the taskbar for no reason, it raises by blood pressure 1 mmHg. Also also, every four hours it requests to shut down for 6-8 minutes to run a pixel refresh. Breaks are good for you, and you can say "no, wait until next sleep", but if you do say no (like you're in the middle of a meeting) you have to remember to do it manually or let the monitor go to sleep ideally before the next 4 hours are up again.
Interesting. I just got this monitor and came from a 32inch 1440p LG Va. A 34" is never going to be as wide as 2x27". You'd need a 49" 32:9 for that. deal was good enough to try and thought I'd have to see what the fuss was about with the text clarity. I have perfect vision and honestly can't notice what people are referring to with text quality during everyday usage. Set it up side by side to my old LG and it sits next to a 27" IPS ultra sharp. The text looks the same on all 3. Windows snap fine. Use the windows key and arrows like any other monitor? If you are referring to built in software to have two screens on 1 I don't think this one has that. As for the taskbar I recommend translucent task bar from the windows App Store. The pixel refresh you can set to function on standby. So when your monitor goes into standby it'll run it. Personally I don't find the pixel refresh thing an issue. Everyone has different experiences with these monitors but I would definitely describe this as more than "OK". This is a fantastic monitor for what it is with the warranties and discounts you can get when you stack slick deals. I would recommend the 3423dwf to anyone tbh.

Im still on the fence. Im more worried about the QC lottery as it seems a lot of people get a bad screen and samsung is hard to get a replacement. I wish Best Buy would price match so I can get the extended warranty.

Is Neo G9 ideal for productivity work and media consumption and no gaming?

I am comparing it with LG 49WQ95C-W. Can't decide between the two

It really good for gaming as well. It just does not have the deep blacks/ contrast of a OLED. It will not burn in, which is why it is best for productivity over an OLED.

I had a few dead pixels on mine and tried to return on Samsung and the process was such a nightmare I gave up.

I dont notice the dead pixels really so if I kept with it Im sure I could have made it happen but the customer service for a return is insanely bad.
Is it within return period?
