No, the Capresso is no where near comparable to Baratza Encore, which is a well known, established coffee grinder brand.
The Encore (this one) has always been regarded as the BEST entry level of pro-sumer grinder for brew coffee. Baratza has many higher tier grinders as well. On the other hand, Capresso is more of a regular consumer brand, like McCoffee of Walmart...
There are many coffee experts out there, but I *highly* recommend following James Hoffman on youtube if you'd like to brew good cups of coffee.
Note: this is not recommended for espresso, you want the ESP model for that.
Google M2 burr upgrade to make this grinder much better for cheap.

Frequently hits 99.99 it even did about 3 months ago on woot IIRC. I have two of these haven't had a problem yet, but as stated above there's been a lot of reports of issues since the parent company was sold.
Is this better than the Capresso from Costco[costco.com]? I've had that one for a while and it's been great. It's been a while but it goes on sale from time to time for $80

There are some that do, but you have to swap out the burrs to go from espresso grinds to coffee grinds.
This is a good deal if you need coffee grind sizes. Likely better than the Oxo for not much more.
