I love that it works with Alexa/Google too. RGB LED is a nice touch. Overall I've been happy with it, and don't regret it even though Costco has a stronger tower one for less (non-oscillating) that I just saw yesterday!

That said, there is one approach that could save some watts and money, if the house has some main source of heat, like central furnace or heat pump, but you have imbalanced colder room or area. If you aren't trying to bring that room up to temp 24x7, but are mainly just trying to warm up one or two people in part for some hours, then you don't try to heat all the air and walls in the room. Basically find heater to better heat the person(s) first, and let the heated person indirectly heat the air - still same amount of watts heating the room air eventually, but the person gets more of it before the room does.
So most resistance heaters warm the air, and then convect (circulate) the warmer air towards your skin. But some types also generate SOME percent as radiant heat, infrared waves that heat your skin directly and not the air around it - so the parabolic dish types (point at you), and from oil-filled radiator type (warm metal radiates but in all directions, so put closer to you). These are only better if you can direct the radiant heat towards the person in the room though (and then the warm person slowly heats the room through convection) - better in that you might find you feel warm at average say 500-1000 watts running rather than full 1500W (you are warm but room air doesn't need to be as warm).
Of the types that 100% heat the air, and circulate/convect it around the room, it would be ideal to direct that heat towards you first, rather than the rest of the room, in this same philosophy. But the challenge is if air circulates too vigorously, there is some direct evaporative cooling of the skin that can partially offset the benefit of the warmer air.
Do not use smart plugs, they're not rated for space heaters.
Too many avoidable fires every year.

EDIT: Nevermind, I missed that you got the oscillating one for $15 more. I wouldn't think the Costco one is any stronger than this though, as they're all rated the same 1500w.
Adjusted rating 1.5 starts
