Aren't The Beatles, Floyd, and Zep all boy bands? We could go down the list. GnR, Jimi, AC/DC, Traveling Wils, Bruce, CCR, Cure? Aerosmith, Cure? Nirvana or Pearl Jam?

They're all boy bands. Hate for Korean style? I'm not a fan, but also simply don't subscribe.

To me the difference is Boy Bands are comprised of choreographed singers. The other examples are comprised of individuals that play the music as well as a singer
