Why do you pair an RTX 4080 with an FHD screen?

Is this really just esports-centered to try and take advantage of the 360 Hz screen?

Either that or for people who would connect the laptop to an external screen anyway.

That's a good point. At nearly 6 pounds, it feels to me like it's more of a desktop replacement.

I don't think I've seen a 4080 this cheap

It is a strange combo for sure, but not sure that it's a deal breaker for me. I got one arriving tomorrow and will let everyone know about the screen. Not that easy to find a name brand 4080 laptop for this price point, but also didn't expect prices to drop so quickly.

Not sure that I would trust a lightweight 4080 laptop. If you watch online reviews of this laptop the additional bulk / weight is for cooling. To me 6lbs is reasonable for a big screen high performance gaming laptop.

Where is 150w in the spectrum? Seems low but I haven't kept up with the 40 series

This seems like a good deal for a 4080. It seems realtively light too (2.73kg). Some 17" 4080 laptops are beasts (3.3kg+). 1TB port.

Some are unhappy at 1920x1080 screen but lots of FPS gamers keep to that resolution for framerate. I'll hook it up externally anyway so who cares?

Only 16GB of RAM but I was probably going to buy 64GB anyway so no point paying for 32GB.
