Nice price but take note that this is a VA panel (which should be unsurprising for a high refresh rate panel at this price point).

The trade-off being made is primarily (but not exclusively) color space vs. refresh rate. As such, unless you have a need for speed you might do well passing on this one (especially if you're sensitive to color accuracy).

Good luck!

It's a big curved monitor for 139. Don't be a spec snob for this price

What games does he play? If he's in to competitive first person shooters, smaller screens are usually better. At 1080P you're looking at 24" or at 1440P a 27".

The 1440P will require a higher grade graphics card than a 1080P monitor.

With a 32" monitor, he's going to spend more time looking around in the corners than he would a 24" where more is in front of you.

But this size screen is an impressive size and a good refresh rate. I think my son would be happy to get it. Though Ideally I'd probably shoot for a 27", 1440P monitor than a 32" 1080 one.

The XZ320Q Pbiiphx appears to be rated for 250 nits per Micro Center [microcenter.com].

The ED320QR S3biipx appears to be rated for 300 nits per Acer [acer.com].

There do not appear to be any other notable distinctions.

Good luck!
