If anything, it may be slower at sequential transfers vs a larger drive due to density and you can buy a larger drive for the same price (or less) if you don't get hung up on "black".

Or, wait for a deal on a shuckable 18TB at this price and get yourself a WD white helium drive which will probably at least be as fast, and will be cool and quiet.
Whoever downvoted, c'mon back and tell me why to waste the same money on almost half the drive.
