Also, the fabric in the center 17" x 17" part is a strong netting, so it provides flow-thru ventilation to the bottom side of the laptop. The mousepad fits well on the remaining space either to the right or left of a laptop.
Wife and I like eating or playing card games by the fire, our cooler is an ok table between our chairs but nothing worse than having to get another beer and having to move everything off the top.

100 - 79.76 = 20.24% higher price
It's all relative, if $2.53 cents more is too much for you given what you're getting here I'd say maybe just save your money.
Seems to me like this is still a slick deal given the very positive reviews.
