Just had to say it. It depends on the original source material. If it was taped, probably not. Ditto for how those originals were stored. But even if it was taped, if it has been remastered properly it still could be worth it.
Hidef digest is a good place to start, their reviews are usually pretty thorough, though I don't buy many blu-rays these days.
i'm doubting that there's much extra here as they've done SO many python specials and there's almost nothing worth rewatching (in my opinion) outside of the known shows and movies

This set was $49.99 as a lightning deal in June of 2021, I don't think it's been much cheaper since.
