If I wasn't a Dewalt guy I would have been all over this. Unfortunately, I'm waiting to score a good deal on the new Dewalt 3/8 & 1/2" one.

I have a bunch of the skil 12v stuff and have used it almost daily for about 2 years...really like it. don't have this ratchet but I'm tempted.

55ftlbs is not bad. I don't own this, but I have the Ryobi version which only has about 35 foot pounds of torque and isn't as compact. Pretty useful device to have around and I'm happy to not use a compressor with hoses in the way anymore. Pretty good deal if you're not committed to another system already.

Darn, this is 6 months too late. I bought the brushed ryobi version after holding off many years. I used to think Skil was garbage until I bought their brushless drill from woot a few years back. I also own their electric screwdriver. Skil is owned by the same company that also owns Bosch (Chervon).

You chose one of the weakest ratchets that they make. The one posted here is 20ft/lbs more powerful, you will feel that and if working on a car you WILL need that. This is coming from a Milwaukee owner so I'm not trying to sell you this particular product but my M12 has 65ft/lbs and that is just enough most times.Smilie

Hahaha, I used the same Milwaukee ratchet and screwdriver for years when I was a mechanic, its a good deal, he'll be fine.
