The jaws are intentionally angled. The bar bends under pressure and the jaws become parallel so that aspect of his test was a fail.

Great deal. I bought this set and a similar Jet set last year. I prefer Bessey ones any just bought another set. The connector works really well and saved me a bunch of time.

These get significantly better reviews than the Jorgensens, but you pay for it. Also might want to include, "Includes (2) 24'' clamps, (2) 50'' clamps and (2) clamp extenders."

This is Rocklers annual deal for this combo. It's a solid deal, especially if you see yourself doing casework in the future.

I've received each of the last three years, so I guess I need to tell my MIL something different this year 😀

That's a pretty good deal. If I didn't have 60 of them already I'd buy. Work much smoother than the Jet version.
