Even the 3.50 per ream isn't bad, and this is 20lb so not bad if you need a ton of paper or a lifetime supply for home

You don't want to keep these paper lying around for years because they will turn yellow over time or in other words, the white will not look so white.

Lol. My wife goes through so much paper printing things I had to buy an eco tank printer. And this is far from a lifetime supply for her ..

I got a deal on this Hammermill paper a decade ago, and have been leaving it lying around for years. It looks perfectly fine. I'm sure if you take it out of the package and spread it out and leave it in direct sunlight it won't stay perfectly white, but I'm not doing that.
