Do not buy Samsung appliances. I can absolutely tell you they are garbage & if you ever need warranty repair, good luck!

Yes, huge difference. Only two things left to worry about, the condenser fan on the bottom and evaporator fan inside. These two fans tend to fail around 3-4 years mark. Easy replacement if you watch 5 minutes video on Youtube. Only tool you need is a screwdriver. Learn how to replace these fans and your Samsung, or LG, or any brand really, will last at least a decade.

That sounds promising, how much does each of these fans cost? I would rather repair than buy another

I agree I am a previous owner of Samsung frig they make fine TVs but in my opinion the dependability of their refrigerators is seriously lacking.

Yes I had this similar model without issues, didnt use ice maker and turned temp up 2 degrees

Of course, the majority of problems with refrigerators are related to water and ice. I always buy an extended warranty if I get a fridge with those, and I think I've used the warranty on all but one of them.

I have had this refrigerator for a few years now, few things I learn over time is that 1) the fridge is louder than I thought it would be 2) the fridge is prone to icing issue, after thawing it out twice I decided to change out one of the heating coil and that eliminated the problem. Changing it out took a day because you need to thaw the fridge then open up the interior of the fridge.

knowing that, I would buy this fridge again, especially if I am getting this for a rental unit. however I would opt to change the heating coil right off the bat
