I don't think so - it looks like you can use $190 of Discover cashback to get $200 Target GC, nowhere near 15% off

ETA - it's possible that OP was referring to purchasing Target GCs at 10% off (this thread) using a Discover GC (for the 5% cashback this quarter). The math isn't mathing that way, but it gets at least close.

I think that's what they were hunting at.

- Buy gift cards on sale using a Discover card to also get 5% off there
- PM to Target

Saving 20% on the first PM is to me a Slickdeal ($250 > $200) that almost anyone can do. Having a Discover card makes it a true YMMV.

I think most deals are hot because they're worded properly. This isn't too hard, but it's contingent on knowing what you're doing. Good luck to all, but I think I'd be fine with the 20% off...
