I had this one, and when it worked, it was great. The warm water and seat warmer in the cold winter were great. But the whole unit would stop working, and a temp fix was to keep it unpluged and plug it back in, and it would work for a few minutes, then stop again. It then would never work again, so I tried an exchange, and the same thing happened with the second unit even faster. I ended up putting on a cheap bidet from Amazon.
We have this one purchased recently and it's getting returned. The remote doesn't activate easily - it's huge and frustrating to use.
I found many helpful reviews on Amazon and Home depots listings for this product. To answer quickly though, this hooks inline to your toilet tank line via an adapter and heats water with an electrical connection.

Hoping to get more thoughts. I bought 2 of the Brondell bidets and haven't opened them thinking I might buy a better product. This seems to fit the bill. I'm a little worried about the installation. Will I need to connect it to the hot water line and can I use an extension cord? Is it better to wait for the Toto to go on sale?

Yes you can use an extension cord, just make sure to use the thicker one, 12 gauge wire min and plug to the GFCI outlet. I have this one and the brondell se600 and this one is way better. The installation is pretty straight forward just like changing the toilet seat. Look up YouTube if you in doubt!

We like it enough that we're installing another bidet, but we're going to test two others (Kohler C3-325 and Brondell Swash CL1700) to see if they are more even about their power draw. Everything on the bathroom circuit flickers twice a second when the USPS is heating up. Yes, I know, we need to upgrade our electrical panel. Nevertheless...

edit: to clarify, we're installing a second bidet. We got three, and are keeping our favorite. The BioBidet USPA, purchased for $180 with the $50 off $500, is by far the cheapest, at least in terms of what we paid, so unless the others are vastly superior, we're going to have two of that model.

I have an older Kohler French curve - any way to find out if this fits or not?

This is interesting product Novita, a Korean company famous for bidet. Kholer must have collaborated with Novita. Biobidet also happens to be a Korean company. I am curious about this product.

I miss the uspa 6800. Did everything and had a light. Kohler is good, but wish it had an led.

We have the 6800 and it was good while it lasted. After ~3 years, the hinges broke completely 2 weeks ago. The lid connection is fragile.

We bought the TOTO washlet for $300 and have been extremely happy in the past 6 months. No hassle, has all the features, except unlimited hot water but realistically I have never ran out of hot water so far.
