We don't have fiber in my area.

Spectrum is decent deal. 500mbps should cover a family with mutiple streaming

Finally left Spectrum after having repeated issues with service. And good luck trying to get any sort of promo/gift card/rebate honored after you switch.

Google Fiber's customer service is amazing compared to Spectrum.

Must be location dependent as I just switched back to Spectrum from T-Mobile 5G HI, which was $50/mo to Spectrum since it was $40/mo for 500 Mbps and a $100 gift card. I was previously paying $80/mo for 200 Mbps so I'm glad there is more competition to drive the prices down.

Fiber generally has equal download and upload speeds while cable is usually limited upload speed at the base rate. It can do it but prepare to pay more.

For my address the upload speed was significantly slower. Ugh.
