I did some research on BF and this was basically the next step up from a fire tablet. Great for kids in terms of form factor and cost, should be good enough to do light gaming on. Personally opted to get the 4gb of ram version from BB, which was open box for 104.
EDIT: looks like they still have open box - excellent of the white 64gb for 106. Would recommend spending the extra $7 for more ram and storage. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sams...Id=6464617

I have had this tablet for 2 years. It's gotten almost unusably slow when switching apps or tabs. Even navigation button presses often are slow to register
Unfortunately, there just aren't any good-specced 7-8" Android tablets manufactured for the North American market. I'm considering buying an imported Chinese tablet and dealing with a global ROM.
I have this A7 lite and I used it for a while until I bought Lenovo M9 for about $100.
Lenovo M9 is faster but some Android apps are not compatible somehow.
The problem with this A7 lite is 32G of storage. Although the bloatware is not that much, you are still limited with the storage. I would get at least 64G storage for the next tablet.
I was waiting for Samsung A9 but it never came. That's why I bought Lenovo M9 instead.
I got one of these last year with LTE to use as a google maps display in my car. It is frustratingly laggy and slow. Just getting going in the car, opening google maps, search for my navigation target etc are just bad, enough to discourage me from using it.
Someone noted this was a step up from a fire table. I would strongly disagree. Current or last gen fire table are much more responsive.
It's a bummer as it's a great price, screen is OK but it is soooo slow.

The tablet to get right now is..... The "iplay 50 mini pro" by alldocube
The reason is simple... specs vs price. Last checked it was $145 ($10 more then cyber monday) on Am.azon.. and it was as low as $130 until cyber Monday at Chinese websites.
Specs:
Clean Android 13 (i'm very impressed)
G99 / 256GB / 8GB
8.4" with a very decent screen (not the best but good enough)
8.4-inch screen is a fully laminated in-cell screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200, with up to 320 nits brightness.
Powered by the octa-core 2.2 GHz MediaTek MT6789 "G99" processor with a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics processor, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 256GB of fast UFS 2.2 storage, the Alldocube iPlay 50 Mini Pro suddenly became the most powerful tablet in the 8-inch Android tablet market in USA and internationally. It has also set aside an additional optional 8GB of storage for virtual RAM, where you can use 8GB of the storage for more RAM should you need to, simply by going into Settings -> Memory Expansion, and then chose the number of gigabytes you wish to set aside for that purpose, up to 8GB.
I had the the s6 lite and my gf has the a7. Both are decent for basic tasks.
I recently got the lenovo m9 on the lenovo web site on sale 89.00 . 99.00 with 10.00 lenovo coupon.
64gb/4gb and ips screen. Very nice and much better than the s6 lite or a7.
