it can be used for work, won't be the most comfortable for massive data entry. I've used the MX Key Mini, which is basically this in form factor but with backlighting, and it gets the job done, whether it's writing essays or typing emails. But if it's entering a lot of info quickly, repetitively, and successively, it's easy to start making mistakes due to the lack of tactile feedback and the keyboard's design. The arrow keys and backspace keys are probably the most annoying to get used to from a traditional keyboard. And yes you'll be missing a number pad.

I use the Logitech M720 and this K380 keyboard for my steam deck, tablet, and laptop (when docked). Nice to be able to switch between 3 devices quickly with one pair of input devices.

Feels like a laptop size key spacing. I wouldn't choose this for day to day use, but for a spare portable keyboard for connecting to stand-alone systems to service, it's great.

It's good for typing and fps gaming but when BT lags and keys stick it's a pain. Battery life is 2 weeks with light use, not 2? years 8hr/day use like logi support says. If i used a keyabord 8 hours straight i'd get cancer. I keep it for backup. Went back to my old Rii. It never lags and battery lasts 4-6 months. I asked logi rep if this keyboard still uses BT 3.0 from 2015. He never answered my question, but kept telling me i should have latest 5.x in my board or adapter. I have 5.1 in asus board.

I use external keyboard with laptops so i'm used to and prefer shallow keys and smaller spacing. This keyboard was easy to get used to coming from square keys portable same spacing as laptops. I read some complaints about spacing before i bought it. I was surprised i didn't have to retrain my brain. I don't like that it still has BT 3.0 but logi tells me i should have the latest 5.x in my pc and BT lag problem is in my pc. Possibly, when BT5.1 tries to connect with their old 2015 technology.

2 weeks with light use? wtf lol hows that possible. even my g613 lasts like 3 months with heavy use..

I've had mine for 2 years and never changed the batteries. Sounds like there is something wrong with yours.

I have not replaced the batteries in mine that I bought back in 2021. I used it for work and the batteries definitely last longer than 2 weeks.

If you don't need the trackpad, I like the K380 a lot better than the K400. The K380 supports Logitech Flow (the ability to pair it with 3 devices at once) which is awesome too.

The k400 is the version of this with the built in touchpad. It is the most popular home theatre keyboard out there. With a home theatre keyboard you want the mouse to be built in because it's the only way to control the computer without having to lean over a table every single time. These keyboard are small and have excellent battery life. I use the k400 for my home theatre pc and have been for years, it's been great. If it was not for this purpose I'd probably get a larger one.
