I have an older revision of these. They are very nice but they only thing I don't like is how the power switch is on the rear. Mine failed after a while and Monoprice replaced them for me under warranty. I do think they are a good pair of speakers and the price seems good to me.
How do these compare to the Kanto YU and Audio Engine A2 speakers?
I have A2 and A5, and the 5in drivers are significantly better for low end extension (no subwoofer really needed in smaller room), but also size difference is significant (tho I like my tweeters at ear level so I don't mind the extra height). I suspect this difference is similar, since these look like clones of A5.
Note: even on A5, they're potential is really reached when using a equalizer and fine tuning them (I use soundsource on Mac, but there's other options out there!)

Power switch in rear isn't the worst on the Audioengine A5 since the volume knob is separate and I can just reach around back and feel it (unlike A2, which power is integrated with volume knob so can't just leave it at a set volume if you turn it off)
I'm not sure if this is the same version I got but there's an annoyingly loud Bluetooth connection chime upon connection. Additionally I found them to have too much bass. I got Edifiers instead and was happier with the flatter sound, yet was able to somewhat mimic the more bass heavier sound the Monoprice ones produce.
