This is a great deal for someone who wants a nice display and good battery life. The CPU is pretty weak for 2023, though.

Does anybody know if the "returnable to store til Jan 31" for real? Err... I guess that doesn't really help, since Walmart won't be issuing a refund and you still have to deal with Ant.

Who will not honor your warranty? Abtonline is a official reseller of Acer.

I have no experience with Acer or Ant, but despite the hate, their online reviews are very normal for a seller of computers, so I'd say they are about as good or bad in their policies as the rest of them.

Just say no to these rebadged Gen 3 Ryzen mobile CPU's when paired with RTX 4000 series GPU's. I tried out a Legion 5 with this same CPU and an RTX 4060, and the difference in Time Spy score between CPU and GPU was over 2,000, indicating mismatch. With a 4070, it would be even more stark. If the third number of the Ryzen mobile CPU name is "4", then you're taking Zen 4 and it's a better performer.
So this CPU will bottleneck this GPU?

In gaming, the slow single core performance will have a detrimental effect at low res and high refresh rates. At QHD and running graphically demanding games it will be very little, but still something.

In Gizmo's tests you can see this behavior. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBmVUeq-JyA

Typically in games with intelligent settings (GPU maxed at a little over 100W) the CPU will run at ~50W. Max for the CPU is 95W. One thing that impressed me was how cool the CPU and GPU ran.

My guess is that at QHD you will not notice any difference outside of benchmarks. I just wish they included more VRAM on the 4070 given that many games are maxing out 8GB at QHD. With DLSS 3, this would have been a great GPU with more VRAM.
