I haven't seen the 4K version down to $20 for any length of time (maybe beyond a Black Friday deal or temporary price mistake). The HD 1080p version is down to $20 regularly, but the 4K version usually only drops to $30-$40.

This, no amazon bloat. Also, if you don't need dolby vision then just get the onn tv box from Walmart for $20, it's the same thing minus dolby vision certification.

I have 4k max and it's hands down better.

It's definitely NOT better unless you slurp amazon content.

I have all of them. last 4k max, this years 4k max. They are garbage with a garbage UI. You must love ads everywhere in your face from Jeffy B.

4k max is horrible. I wonder why so many enjoy the bloatware. This and the onn 4k box are the best budget players

I love these, have 3 since they were first launched, with the Netflix bundle but….. on all three of my TV's I get jerkiness using these with Dolby vision. If I switch to a Roku on the same input, it doesn't happen. Love the Google photos and my nest cameras on here, but these are old and the hardware wasn't the best even when they were first released.

I can't stand the fire devices, but to the person above asking which one, the new max is hands down the better hardware. Software I like Google, but again, all three of mine have issues with DV.

Yeah, Fire Sticks have gotten worse. I've used two regular FTV 4K's over the past 3 years and more and more ads have been added...and now there are ads appearing BEFORE you even get to the home screen. That did it for me...we've switched over to Chromecast GTV (HD) on one TV and I'm pretty happy with it. Gonna switch over our other TV to a CCwGTV I just picked up cheap then trade in those FTVs for Amazon credit.

Will this work with a 1k HD tv? No 4k tv yet.

As someone with two fire TV cubes a Fire 4kmax and another couple sticks, I'm moving all future purchases to unbloated devices. They are moving to full screen ads at startup. They kick my ass off my shortcut list to add their own services. I wouldn't be surprised if they started putting mid-scroll video ads

I am also thinking of trying this GTV or the onn from Walmart. The FireStick 4K (not the max version) I have keeps freezing and it is practically unusable these days. I barely have maybe 10 apps installed on it. All I need is to make my non-smart TV a little smart so I can watch some Netflix.
