I have those pads with normal rotors and they are great. Daily driving with occasional spirited driving. No fade, noise, or dust.

Thanks for commenting. Now I want to try these pads on my next brake job. They look to be a level or 2 above stock.

These are my go to brake pads at my auto shop for the pass 3 years. I use to swear buy OEM or Akebonos but I had such great results with these that we switched. I experimented on my personal vehicle which is a 2011 Tacoma which always had a soft pedal from when it was new. Throughout the time of ownership I had used OEM Toyota brake pads/rotors, Akebonos, Posi-quiets and also upgraded to stainless steel brake lines which never approved the brake response and feedback. I switched to Powerstop Z36 rotor & pad kit and the soft pedal feeling is gone. On customer's cars They feel great as soon we finish up a job. No brake fading, nice firm pedal and feedback, no noise, minimal break in period, not harsh on the rotors, and excellent price and pad life. They are also brake pad slap friendly but I usually don't recommend this route.

Worth noting z36s are quite a bit more aggressive than these z23s (if memory serves There is not an official comparison in breaking force but the butt-o-meters on the internet tend to rate z36 considerably more aggressive and the sales reps tend to say they have more bite and resist fading better, presumably due to the steel backing). I've had a decent assortment over the years and definitely like z36s on my SUV (2002 Chevy trailblazer which weighs the earth) but have never been disappointed with P/s over OEM...

Edit: looking at my order history, I installed a front z36 kit in July of 2015 and replaced the front pads (and installed a rear kit) in March of 2019 so definitely no complaints for any of the brake kit's hardware lifespan in my heavy footed use.

Not worth buying drilled and slotted for most cars on the road. Definitely not for 2007-13 SUVs.

Correct. These are good for racing, but they are more prone to warping vs solid disc.

Would never buy slotted or drilled rotors unless you really enjoy working on your brakes

Cracking as well. I've seen so many drilled rotors that develop cracks between the holes.

Edit: With that said this is such a good deal I would still buy and run these. At the normal price definitely not though.

When it comes to comedy, these comments sections always deliver.

I can easily imagine a scene in Joe Dirt where Jaime Pressly says "Are those drilled and slotted rotors on that Hemi? Dang!"

drilled and slotted rotors are more a problem than a solution.
but some people like to look cool.that cost them pretty penny through the life

Unless your car comes with slotted and drilled please dont buy em. there is less friction surface when you slot and drill the rotars. its not a upgrade unless u about to be racing.

you will be replace the rotors alot sooner which is understandable when you have a very fast car that could overheat traditional rotors.

I stick with Local part stores. Aka auto zone,O O Oooo Oreillys, if they fail out the box or need to be taken back you are good going to the parts store same day vs waiting for a new shipment. They also usually come with 2year limited warranty that is easy to get.
