I have owned these before, they are not great, the SQ is pretty bad. In this price range you can probably do better with an off brand like Anker or something.

Have owned these for a year, bought for long (3+ hours) airline trips. ANC works well on flights and sound quality for shows etc is great. I also use them at home and my family has to tap me on the shoulder to get my attention because I usually cant hear them with ANC on. With ambient sound on, I can hear them talking to me. They are light and comfortable to wear for a few hours at a time. Battery life is LONG - easily lasts 10 hour flights with the prompt saying its at 50%.
I would not compare these to Bose QCs for comfort or B&W for sound, and I think the sound on the XM4s is better also. ANC turns off if headphones are not connected to a device via bluetooth. People with a larger head circumference may find the earcups shallow which may make ears hurt with long wear (this happens with my spouse). FWIW, we have several other headphones and earbuds - airpods, sony WF-XB700, soundcore Q30 ANC, soundcore liberty 4 NC and the sony 720N. I find the sound on the sony earbuds and headphones to be much better than the soundcores and airpods BUT, and this is a big BUT for me, the call quality on the sonys stinks and the airpods have become less and less reliable if any other bluetooth devices are connected to my iphone. I have found myself carrying airpods (for calls), the sony XB700 (for working out, the airpods just fall out of my ears), and the sony 720N (for flights) on recent trips. My spouse on the other hand, uses the liberty 4 NCs for everything. After feeling guilty about my first world problems for many months, I bit the bullet and ordered the soundcore A40s. Will be able to compare sound and comfort/ease of use for travel soon.

Edit: Received the A40s today, adjusted sound via app and tested side by side with the liberty 4s and Sonys. The sound on Sony 720N and WF-XB700 is still significantly better (richer, fuller sound out of the box, no tinkering needed) than both the soundcore earbuds. The ANC on the 720Ns is also better.
IMHO, if you are buying for music, movies etc in loud environments, the 720s or even the XB700 is a better choice. If you want a do-it-all and dont mind sacrificing a little sound quality, get something like the soundcores. My airpods have already gone on FB marketplace...

I recently opened a pair of cheapo China headphones (Cowin e9) with ANC I had sitting in my closet for a few years since I had a long plane ride to India. The difference anc makes is truly incredible. The loud plane was so much more quiet with anc on. I never knew what a difference it made. I would pay extra for headphones with this feature.

The ANC is pretty good, almost as good as Sony WH1000XM5. They are also very light and comfortable to wear. The sound quality is definitely not great but not horrible either. Just slightly above average.

Wow really? My primary goal is ANC as I'm specifically looking for travel headphones.

I bought these from Target for $99 for a Transatlantic flight. The ANC is decent, not as good as my partner's Bose QC15 when I tried them on in the plane. My plan is to keep them for future flights. I'm satisfied with the $100 pair of Sonys

Edit, I'm not a fan of how they don't fold up for storage

Probably not as good as XM5 or even XM3 but likely better than BERIBES or older generation Sony.

Thank you very much! I bought this a few days ago from target for $99.99 as I wanted a noise cancelling over-the-ear headphones on a budget and to also complete the circle quest. I contacted support today and they were able to price match it and gave me $30 back in gift card.

Like what others have said, it's pretty decent. It's no airpods pro (only other one I got to compare) but it still muffles the outside noise unless somebody is right beside you talking. It has a feature to where when you talk, it changes to dynamic mode so you can hear better, then change back to ANC. It's suppose to learn the locations where it thinks you converse the most but I haven't really talk to anybody while using the headphone.

While they don't fold up, the cups rotate so they are flat, which helps reduce the amount of space needed in a backpack.

One thing I noticed is they will shut off in about 15 minutes unless you disable the power saver mode. This is annoying on a flight when I am trying to sleep and all of a sudden, things get loud because they shut off automatically. Disabling power saver should resolve that.
