Walmart and eBay just simultaneously went OOS. Probably not a coincidence, so congrats to whatever vulture reseller just bought them all. 🙄
Newegg itself still in stock.

This has me a bit concerned with using extension cables.

Quote :
From a Newegg review:

Pros: - Inexpensive
- Looks /okay/, but the wires/sleeving are too thin, leaving the cables looking a little silly

Cons: After around 6 months of use, I started noticing my GPU running hotter than normal and FPS being lower due to thermal throttling. Within a month or so after that, my GPU would crash, my monitor throwing up a black screen with a No Signal message. This lead me to pull the card and check everything over. This is when I caught the scent of burning plastic and nylon. So I checked the ends of these extension cables, and sure enough, at the GPU end of one of the extensions, two of the center connector female pins had melted through the plastic surrounding connector, leading me to believe that they must have had a poor connection with the pins in the socket of the GPU. Luckily, the GPU 8-pin socket itself is made from a higher quality tempered plastic, and it didn't melt like that of the cheap stuff Phanteks has outfitted these extensions with.

I would say to anyone thinking of buying these─simply don't. As expensive as GPU's are today, they just don't look good enough to offset the potential of these cheap extensions burning up your expensive components. If you want good looking sleeved cables, go to CableMod or Ensourced. Sure, they cost quite a bit more, but that's because they likely won't leave you sitting with a burned up GPU or motherboard that you can't RMA because you used poor quality cable extensions to power them.

Cons: The cables from the power supply to my video card failed. I even RMA'd my video card which cost me a lot of money only to determine that it was the power cable extensions that were causing my GPU to fail.

Overall Review: I would not recommend these cables since they failed after 2 years, 10 months

Pros: look good

Cons: Used about a year, seemed to work good with my Asus build with a Ryzen 3600 and an RTX 2080 Super. Worked fine, I think, for several months, but I had really frustrating intermittent crashes when I plugged in my new GPU. Would work for hours, or a few days, then I couldn't game for 2 minutes without whole system freezing up. I was bout to RMA the GPU when I decided to unplug these cable extensions and go with Corsair ones--the crashes have stopped, it appears that these Phanteks cables I bought are not reliable. I'm not saying 100% it's a bad product, but if you start having intermittent crashes, I'd take a look at these as your culprit, it was for me.

Overall Review: be wary.

You should only use extension cables made by the manufacturer of your power supply for that line of power supplies. Pin configurations can be different sometimes and then you can have some major problems.

Untrue. These are universal extensions and only connect to the end of your existing PSU cables. Nothing new or special about extensions. Mixing or using other brand direct cables is the issue. Don't add misinformation to fear monger others.
