These are Nest WiFi which are WiFi 5 —- the Nest WiFi Pro has WiFi 6 - I was just about to buy these when I came back to read the comments 🤦 ♂️

Would NOT recommend, even if they are selling this for $20. I've lived with these for about 3 yrs on a single story 1,600 sqft home - even at brand new when I first plugged everything in, I was dissappointed. I needed 4 points (including the base) to get to all areas in the house AND the bandwidth degredation was huge. 500Mbps became barely 100 Mbps in most areas. The lack of ethernet ports on the nodes also didn't give enough flexibility for plug-in devices. Fast forward 3 yrs, the whole system went to crap, kept dropping connections, even after I factory reset. Upgraded to an ASUS Wi-fi 6 mesh, absolutely night and day. Just need 2 nodes to get the whole house, and the speeds were doubled. Not sure if it's the Wi-Fi 6 piece or the fact that my ASUS have a dedicated 5Ghz backhaul between nodes that made the difference, but suffice to say I don't think I'll ever trust Google again.

I dont get the hate.
I live in a 1200 sf home with one router and an access point.
Router is center of the home in the basement. Access point is center of house on second floor.
Also, i have an attached garage. I get coverage everywhere.
It's been months(bought the package from the kohls deal) and not a single drop in connection.
They replaced my ancient asus ac1900 which kept disconnecting(probably due to age).
