I'm guessing max height of 13 7/8" wouldn't be good for tire swaps on SUVs?

It would depend on the SUV. If it's a smaller SUV that has a car-like riding height, then it will be fine. For what it's worth, I used this jack in conjunction with another similar size jack for rotating tires on an Odyssey and it worked fine. For a mid-size or larger SUV with higher ride height and/or suspension travel, you would probably want a larger 3-Ton jack. Those are coming down in the $120-$130 range these days. I recently got the 3 Ton Daytona low-profile jack from Harbor Freight and that jack can lift the whole side of a sedan by itself, which is really convenient. I could not do that with this 1.5 Ton aluminum jack.

You don't lift the entire car on a single jack, just a corner, or at most one side. Unless your car weighs 6000+ pounds and you are lifting the whole side, which is unlikely, you are fine.

I generally would not use this to lift the entire front end of a front-engined car that's equipped with a central jack point. It may be capable of doing it, but it'll be a difficult lift. It's a *LOT* easier with a 3-ton jack.

You have no idea. And don't understand the laws of physics, obviously. How much is one side of the car weigh? One corner? And, yes, I've been using this jack for 20 years now.

It can be done but I wouldn't get this jack unless you already had a bigger jack for suvs.
