Dentist here. Soft sugary snacks (fruit snacks, gummies, raisins, fruit rollups) are among the worst for dental health as they get trapped on the biting surfaces your molars and in between your teeth and remain there for an extended period of time. In the long run, you may end up spending a lot more money on dental work. The slickest deal is to avoid soft and chewy snacks altogether.

If you must, reduce the risk by having these in light moderation rather than buying sixty.

i just paid $6.09 on a 40 count before Halloween
these are bland, soft and "wetter" than i expected,
but that could be due to using less chemistry.

Same price per pouch as Sam's Club ($0.15 per pouch), except Sam's you get 90 pouches of their normal flavors. I also saw Sam's Club has a Christmas version [samsclub.com] of them but at a higher price.

these are so bad for you but people don't even know how to read the ingredients.

It's basically a very small percentage of fruit mixed with a ton of preservatives and added sugar with added vitamins.

give your kids some real fruits instead at a lower price with a much better health outcome.

I'm getting them for my radiology department so my staff "likes me". Although I'm aware they're bad for your health (diabetes), it's more for emotional support like "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. From my experience, people are generally happier when they see "freebies" lying around the office. No one ever credits the gifter, but people have given me "freebies" along the way; and I think it's time for me to give back to the community 🐱
