It's a solid pick and a good deal, note it's totally manual so no auto-return on the arm at the end of playing.
The cartridge is fine, you may want to upgrade if you get vinyl nerdy but this would be a very solid place to start.

Personally though, I'd suggest a Fluance RT83 for just a couple bucks more.
This is a very good price for a well-reviewed TT from a reputable European maker. The main advantages of this configuration of Debut are the carbon-fiber aluminum arm and an acrylic platter. The starter Ortofon cartridge is the weak point here, though it could be easily upgraded later.

edit: this model has an aluminum arm, thanks to user nocturnalmerkin for the correction.
Why would you pick the Fluance? The Pro-Ject is a better product. Better tonearm, acrylic platter, and years of producing top quality products. Fluance I believe uses the same plinth and some internals for all of their players. As you get higher a few changes come with it like acrylic platter (this has) and upgrade to stylus.

No auto-return is important. I have turntables with and without it. Nothing worse than a record ending and forgetting it's still spinning, sometimes overnight.

This is a good table that was the entry level pick for years. There have been updated tables that far outperform it now (Debut Carbon Evo) but at a higher price.
This is a fully manual table, but no worries about that. Full automatic or auto return are nice, but it's easy enough to manage a manual table yourself and there is less to go wrong. Additionally, it is fine for the stylus to spin around the runout groove every now and then.

Yes, I haven't purchased from them before, but they have been around quite some time and are widely considered reputable.

It isn't going to damage anything if you forget overnight. Might just need to replace the stylus a bit sooner is all.

And here I am debating Pro Ject Evo and RT85.

The Fluance has lower W&F, but Project has a better tonearm and platter so I'd probably still go with Project here unless you really want one of the finishes Fluance has here like bamboo, or really want auto return. Both tables can be later upgraded, but at the end of the day the Project still has the better tonearm.

Do you know anything about this model? I don't see anything on their website about this particular model. Also the website shows what looks like a debut carbon with that stylus instead of the one that comes with it

What would everyone recommend for someone that is brand new to vinyl and that doesn't want to spend too much on their first one? Would something like this be ok, https://www.accessories4less.com/...le/1.html? or still go with the Pro-Ject Debut III?

Thank you!
