Unfortunately, the faucets i would use this for is located under the sun 100% during the daytime.
No shade whatsoever.
Even durable plastic isn't designed for constant sun exposure.
Some of the lower Amazon ratings indicate it won't last in this type of environment.
Though tempted to get it for the one faucet that gets shade.
It isn't used that often, as long as the diverter doesn't get stuck from lack of regular use.
We have one that we got for $7 on clearance at Homedepot. So far two years and no leaks or cracks. But the color has definitely faded as it resides it in area that is always in the sun. Would not be surprised if it starts to crack in the next year or two.
The little ones like it and know how to adjust it for when they are playing in the yard so we will buy another as a replacement at this price.
I got this on clearance at Home Depot like 2 years ago and been using it outdoor 24 hours in Arizona heat. No problem whatsoever so far. Highly recommend

Couldn't you just wrap it in insulation then? Not only would it help with sun exposure, but cold also...
I dont have this particular plastic item, but I do have Aqua Joe's timer and it gets hit by the Missouri sun all day, minus 2 hours after sun rise (trees). It's been hooked up since 2020 and no problems with it whatsoever. I bring it in the garage during the winter. Once the timer is set, I turn the face of it towards the ground so the sun doesnt effect the little screen. I dont think it has started fading in color yet.
Almost thought this would work to connect my countertop dishwasher and keep my kitchen sink "functional" but I need the connectors switched I believe.
If anyone has any idea of something that could split off an aerator from the kitchen sink into a garden house connector while keeping the kitchen sink working I'd would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

We've had ours on the back of the house facing directly South in Central Florida for 3 years with zero issues. You'd be fine using these outdoors, in the sun, with no shade.
I'm buying two more of these at this price because these are incredibly useful for cleaning off little hands and feet from getting messy in yard.

I'm not clear if you want a splitter or a diverter. A splitter will keep water running simultaneously into both your faucet and dishwasher. A diverter allows you to output water into the faucet OR the dishwasher but but both. Most people opt for the diverter because they remove the dishwasher hose when not in use. Having a heavy hose weigh down your faucet permanently can be damaging.
See photo in first link. That looks like a dishwasher hose on the side.
Here's a splitter that also has valves so you can open one, both or none. There are many other models on Amazon as well, some of which are brass. Note that this is specified for garden hoses. I don't know if kitchen faucets are the same size.
Sobinless you need a shower spray, this thing is useless? The angle thing doesn't matter. What am I missing?
I don't need a shower spray, I just sometimes need to use the faucet that the garden hose is screwed into. For example, I sometimes want to fill a jug or wash my hands. This allows me to bypass the hose and provide water directly from the faucet without having to remove the hose. That's helpful because the hose is heavy and dirty, and it's a waste of water to fill that 50' hose with water when I only need a cupful.

It's very difficult to trust plastic stuff, especially for outdoor use.

This Aqua Joe faucet/hose connector has an overall rating of 4.5 / 5 stars at Amazon and 4.6 / 5 stars at Walmart.
All plastic specially out doors fails at some point. Nice try though.
