Great deal. Price is keep dropping on this one, almost $80 from last deal. However, this laptop is not gimpped or anything and top tier performer among the 4080 laptops. Notebookcheck.net review has highly praised this as well.

However turns out I confused the 4080 12GB mobile with the 4080 16GB desktop while looking through benchmarks that failed to label them as such. I was being gaslit.

I think the RTX 4080 12GB was missing in the Spec section and that poster was trying to point that out, but not using straight forward language. OP has added that now.

Yes, my guess is that this would go as low as $1500 and maybe around $1450 from HP directly if they offer any coupons and edu discounts.
But it won't go any lower than that for any other 4080 laptop; only this Omen.

This has been the case the last couple years it seems. The best deals on mid to higher end TVs and laptops seem to come before and after black friday.
