I switched to Plus a few years ago specifically for the free shipping. And then within the last 12 months, they just suddenly changed it and started charging for shipping on some things. Most items are still free, but sometimes they do charge for heavier stuff, and it's really expensive if you just want to order one thing.
Another really deceptive thing they've started doing is charging a shipping fee in a roundabout way. The price you pay in-store is often cheaper than the price you pay online. e.g. Crest mouthwash is $7.98 in club, but $8.98 online - so your shipping is "free", but in essence they're charging you a hidden fee. A lot of retailers are starting to do this one.
I know with Walgreens they will show you what pending rewards you will earn on an order (though that's not always set in stone).

I recently placed 2 shipping orders (NOT delivery). The first order shipped 1 item but delivered the rest. The shipped item arrived in a box, as expected, but the delivered items showed up unprotected - no bags, no boxes. Just the items sitting on my front step. The second order was again turned into a delivery and delivered to my neighbors door.
This could be a serious privacy concern, depending on what you order.
