Amazon has a $50 off some Dewalt tools. This kit is $10 less than the best price Amazon has ever had, according to the camels
Kit includes
1x dcd800 drill driver
2x dcbp034 powerstack batteries
1x dcb112 charger, bag, belt hook

This drill/driver is the top of the line, though not a hammer drill. IMO, the smaller batteries are ideal for my projects.

Great drill but as part of a Home Depot hack deal, it's typically 75-90$. And on resell market you'll be lucky to get 75. So you're paying roughly $50/each for Powerstack batteries, if that is what someone is looking for. Personally I don't see the point of these expensive 1.7AH batteries. For certain tools, Powerstack makes some sense, a drill isn't one of them, and I'd much rather have a couple of 4, 5, or 6 AH batteries for the price of one Powerstack.

These 1.7ah powerstack batteries are perfect for XR drills. They are smaller than 2ah batteries. Tiny if you see them in person. Also powerstack batteries provide full constant power throughout the charge. So it doesn't drop in voltage/power as you use it like the XRs do. In this case the drill will have full power until it the battery dies compared to XRs which will start to lose power at about 50% usage and continue to drop. Also powerstacks run much cooler than XR which will result in twice the battery lifespan. Sure you can get more XRs but you will have to replace them sooner

A lot of people think they are a gimmick, they were very expensive when released but are now finally dropping in price. There are lots of tests out there to confirm the results of powerstacks

I ordered this for the batteries, as I'm getting a DCF510b ratchet and wanted the power stack batteries for it, but Lowes has a combo with two power stack batteries and the ratchet for not much more than the ratchet alone so I think I'm cancelling this. My atomic drill does just fine for the stuff I need it for(although now I'll end up needing a bit more power for something…).

I sold a couple of these 1.7Ah PowerStack batteries to a guy who told me he was getting 2 weeks of use out of them in everyday use on his drills. YMMV but he was clearly a fan. Is that $75 resell on the drill tool only or with a battery and charger? I'm guessing the former because IMO slapping a Dewalt label on anything drives up the price, even in the resell market.
