Why does the 3rd gen have lightening but 2nd gen has USB-C? I thought their newer designs were all type C. Is that the only difference between them?

Wife lost one of her buds so looking to get her another set instead of paying $90 for a replacement bud. She currently has the magsafe lightening version. I guess gen 3?

Edit: Just realized these are not the pros, with the silicone tips. That's the one I'm looking for.

gen 3 is also coming out with usb c version, but still has lighting for people who isn't upgrading their phones yet. I don't plan to upgrade from my 13 pro for a few more years. There's people still using the 8,9,x no problems. No one needed a 15 really if they already had a phone.

As far as i know, we can only get 5% from red card or from chase via paypal. Both do not stack.

Anyway to stack them?

You can get it little cheaper using best buy via Instacart with $30 off $100 promo if you have Instacar+. Will come around $133 plus tax after recommended tip. Also, instacart gc available for discount. Or paypal deals has 10% cashback. Or some chase cards give you monthly/quarterly credits.
