I had just bought a Quest 2 a couple days ago from Target without the gift card offer. I was able to do an online chat and they gave me a $50 gift card in my account without having to return it and rebuy the item. Nice and slick.

Quest 2 is the all-in-one system that truly sets you free to roam in VR. With no wires or cables to limit your experience, simply put on the headset, draw out your play space, and jump into fully-immersive, imagination-defying worlds.
I bought a Quest 2 from Target last week. Two chat reps told me to return it to the store because the gift card couldn't be applied to prior orders. I pushed back about the Christmas price guarantee and they gave me a refund to match the price to $200. This ended up being a little better because of the tax, YMMV.
As to a brief review, it does just kind of work - reasonable setup, no other devices required, no complaints. When my son wants to play he just takes it off the charger and is playing within a few moments. So far he's just playing the half-dozen free games. I gather the Q3 is much better from a visual experience perspective, but at 2.5x the cost it was not really on the shopping list...
Down sides I've noticed:
* My glasses are too wide to fit but I was not likely to use it anyway.
* The time limits for 12-year-olds work but are a pain to keep up (setup like the Switch time limits).
* The Android app is clunky, especially for the aforementioned time limits.
* Chat is verbal so moderation seems unlikely.
* Something happens to the account at age 13, but it is very not clear.
* Games run expensive for a phone but cheap for a console.
* I feel guilty for setting up a Meta account on my kid.
Quest 3 has some nice improvements over Quest 2 but I'd say the 2 is a good starting place at this price point. I enjoy it a lot and the games are unique and fun if you find the right ones. There are definitely some unique experiences you can't easily create in flat games I'd say. And for the record I'm not a big FPS fan so don't feel like you only can play shooters on this because I barely do.

Yeah.. getting the attachment by KIWI design helped me a lot with glasses and everything else. I gave up on the kid restriction and just set up one account. Voice chat with Gorilla Tag needs to be off. VR games are cheaper buying via Steam and streaming to the Quest

I liked my psvr but the games were limited and it's sadly not worth getting out of the box anymore with how much of a hassle it is to set up.
Mostly want to know if upgrading is worth the cost and is the gaming library there or is this fun for a few months then in the box like my psvr.
