Brother typically has affordable refills at the minor sacrifice of lower quality prints compared to some others. I'm not looking to print photos so this is perfect long term!
Edit: I did the deal through staples instead with the coupon stacking. $227.98 before tax and before cash back!

As someone who has been looking and comparing Brother colors, these newer models with the 229 toner seem to be harder to find generics for.
The previous generation that takes the 223 and 227 toners seem to be way more readily available.
I am sure the generics will catch up over the next few months, but if you are worried about cheap toner now then I would just go with the last generation and save a few bucks as well.
