Medium bristle = no good
Every dentist I have ever been to has said to use soft bristles only. Medium risks removing enamel. In fact, I accidentally bought the sonicare medium bristles last year and the next time I had my teeth cleaned, the hygenist could tell and asked what I was using. So these = no go for me.
Every dentist that I've ever talked to recommends only using soft bristle brushes for gum safety.

I will use a medium brush only to brush the top portions of my teeth sometimes if I feel like they need a deep clean. But ever since I got the I/O sonic care my teeth feel squeaky clean after every brush.

Also, the one I have uses that really really small round head. That is a good indicator of how much toothpaste you actually need. With toothpaste less is more for getting your teeth clean.

My sonicare looks to be slowly dying (having to charge it more frequently) so for future reference, what one did you get? The Aquasonic?

Solid deal. In for one. These are better than the knockoffs IMO, but I do agree with others that soft would be ideal. Still, for price, beggars can't be choosers.
