One important tip to having longer lasting batteries is to not charge it full and let it sit until the next ride. Li-ion batteries like to rest around 50% charge. So I just leave it uncharged after every ride, as long as its not below 25%, then before my next ride, charge it fully before leaving. It does require a few hours of planning before each ride, but can extend batteries life by a lot. I have a different ebike from 2 years ago, been riding similarly as yours and I noticed zero battery degradation after 2 years into ownership.
This bike shows 7000 sold in the last month and now Amazons #1 pick at the current price. No one has a real tracking number. Pretty solid business model. Similar to rising to the top of a Google search for a specified product. This was no accident. When these get cancelled make sure to write a review. They now show 58% off at $399 plus $120 shipping. What a great deal.

Thanks OP! My Mukkpet ebike's battery died and they want $370 for a replacement battery. This is a much better option for me.

Buying another bike is actually cheaper than a generic replacement battery. Nice

If you are someone who is comfortable at all working on things, I would recommend doing a YouTube search on ebike battery repair. It doesn't look too difficult

I looked into it and wasn't comfortable with trying it. My battery cuts out once it hits about 50% capacity, which seems to be an issue with an individual battery cell. So yeah, from what I've researched, I could solder a replacement battery cell in after determining the exact one that was the problem. Or I could just get a brand new bike and battery for $230 and sell my half-broken one for just as much.

When did you get it? Was it used often?

This or the muffdiver bike with fat tires that I bought yesterday? I'm leaning toward the one I ordered (fenders, rack, fatter tires for all-season riding, bigger motor). But seeing some reliability questions... (I did get the two-year Asurion warranty)

My Mukkpet is about two years old, used probably once a week throughout the year except winter. The main problem with ebikes these days is that the batteries just don't last, and for my specific bike, it was impossible to find a replacement except directly from the manufacturer for $370. This one appears to be a generic Hailong battery which I've seen for around $200.

I will say I have 2 heybike ebikes and am happy with them with the price considered. I have over 3k miles on my first one and that is with me being 200lbs and using it for golf so it has probably 40-50 pounds of golf gear.....still running strong. So I think this bike is well worth the money.

I opted for this one over the Mukkpet because fat tire bikes are a pain to transfer. I had to get a special bike rack just to support the additional weight of my ebike, and it wouldn't even support a fat tire bike. But if you have a truck or something that you could just throw it in the bed of, it's a lot easier.

For what it's worth, the bike that this Heybike is replacing is a Mukkpet and I really enjoyed it until the battery crapped out.

Warning: These ship out fast so you might not be able to cancel, and it seems like returns might not be free (mayble someone can confirm?). Use caution when placing an order.
