The dust bin is much smaller than the other models and stuff gets stuck really easily. I returned a new one when a corner of the gasket curled. If you want something light the V8 is still the best, and if you want more suction/function go for the V11 or V15.

I got one 6 mo ago. Not used as a primary vacuum, use it on hardfloor for the kitchen/living room and use it daily. I love it. The detect laser isn't a gimmick it really shows all the dirt. It's light, so it's easy to maneuver. Empty the bin daily because it's small. But it's very satisfying to clean. Would buy again esp at this price

the V8s bin is .04 gallon bigger. Hardly a giant jump in size. Pretty minimal to give up a much superior vacuum for.

The V8 bin emptying mechanism is different and dirt falls out easier despite the size.

Honest opinion after using it for about 4 days: not worth it for $400. It is much lighter but the distribution of weight being heavily in the top battery part with the heads being so light means that it FEELS much heavier. I tried a friend's V8 and expected the weight to be more evenly distributed. As a result and because the suction isn't very powerful, it zig-zags when you use it.

I have a dyson animal ball as my main vacuum, but it's clunky and doesn't get into the small spaces so I was hoping this would be an easy in-between for daily use. Not worth it. Going to wait for a V8 refurb from their ebay store instead.

It is far from trash but you have to be mindful on its limitations. Rarely do I have to empty out the bin mid cleaning. However, I do prefer this one over a larger V 15 due to how much lighter It is and easier to maneuver. Especially if you are using it as a handheld for smaller cleaning projects. your hand will get more tired with the larger and heavier V 15.

There is a really nice turbo mode that is awesome on carpets, but it drains the battery quick.

In my opinion, it's the perfect vacuum for daily use. When you want to do a deeper clean on carpets, use a corded vacuum.

I have a robot vacuum, and got this for gold color deal one, detect slim absolute (apparently that one doesnt have wand clip) It's light and no need to hold button to turn on vacuum, a nice complement to my robot vacuum for quick vacuum and corner. Laser is great, but my floor is old so lots of reflection even there is no dust haha. But honestly another cheap vacuum can do the job, but Dyson feels nice LOL

BTW LED screen has such a terrible resolution....not a big deal but they could have easily put a better one for this amount of money.
