I don't quite agree. It's been a bumpy ride, but I think they're generally navigating in the right direction.

I don't know about this product, though. If I needed a hub, I'd probably get the Aeotech.

I agree. Smartthings' products become terrible after Samsung take over. The service is terrible too. I sent back a defect multiple purpose sensor back to Samsung smartthings. They just treat it as "forget it". I should throw it garage can directly to save shipping back cost.

the dude they are collaborating with to give out codes literally just scours sites like SD (and SD i'm sure) and reposts deals to his X account using his own referral links. At one point he had a real job, but switched over in the last year.

What I did:
1. Add the smartthings station to my cart, get to checkout until you see place order (means you already filled your cc address etc). Leave the "Coupon/Referral Code" field ready
2. Go to the Samsung page, refresh periodically and get ready for the new video. Once you have the video immediately go to around 2/3 of the video length. You should see the code.
3. Type the code immediately into the coupon code field, click apply and see if the price changed. If yes, then place order and hopefully you'll have it for $1. (If not, cancel the order immediately since it ships super fast)

That giveaway was a marketing scam! Way over-hyped for a week to collect personal information from tens of thousands. Only to give away less than a handful of pieces worth less than $10, which were gone in seconds.
